*The NMSEA office in Albuquerque will now be open Monday (9am-12pm)
Wednesday, Thursday & Friday (9am-1pm); closed Tuesday & weekends.

*Newly Scheduled NMSEA PV (Photoboltaic/Solar Electric) Design &
Installation Classes
*New Mexico Solar Energy Association (NMSEA) has scheduled its next
*/Photovoltaic Design/* /& /*/PV Design and Installation/* classes for
late October, early November. The classes will be held in Santa Fe, New
Mexico at Santa Fe Girls School.

*Please note: This month's meeting will be held @ Affordable Solar -

Hear it from the Makers! Come to the NMSEA September Chapter meeting and
learn about the PV (photovoltaic/solar electric) panel manufacturing
process and quality control from local manufacturer, Schott Solar.
This is a unique opportunity to hear directly from this local
manufacturer and leader in the solar industry. If you are considering
the installation of a solar system, or just want to learn about this
leading solar company, please come to this exciting presentation hosted
by Affordable Solar. (505-998-2500) Refreshments will be served.
Experts and novices are all encouraged to attend. Open to the public.

will be held at the National Hispanic Cultural Center, an official
partner of the event.

The Sixth International Earthbuilding Conference initiated by Earth USA
(emerging from the Adobe Association of the Southwest), this year's
conference sponsors include The Adobe Construction Program of Northern
New Mexico College, Adobe Alliance, Cornerstones Community Partnerships,
The Earthbuilders Guild, EarthCO Building Systems and the OU College of
Architecture. The conference organizer is Adobe in Action.
Earth USA 2011 indicates a wider field of interest than previous
conferences and will include adobe, rammed earth, compressed earth
block: CEB, and monolithic adobe: cob. Any material or method that uses
clay as a binder is considered.
Paper Subject Categories:
· Historic buildings and cities including their stabilization,
preservation and conservation
· Education and information transfer including codes, norms and
regulations
· Physical and thermal properties of materials and structures
including seismic, flood and storm resistance
· Construction methods
· New architecture and construction projects including
