*ANNOUNCEMENTS*
FEDERAL TAX CREDITS PASS!
Good News! As part of the emergency economic "bailout" package, an
extension of Federal tax credits was passed. This will certainly help
the renewable energy industry. See the next SunPaper for details.

THURSDAY, OCT. 16: SUNPAPER DEADLINE
Submit articles, news, and advertising for the Nov/Dec issue of the
SunPaper, the official NMSEA news publication. Deadline is the end of
the day October 16. Submit news and articles in MS Word and advertising

OCTOBER 24: REQUEST FOR QUOTES DEADLINE
The New Mexico Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department (EMNRD)
has issued requests for quotations for someone to do (1) Solar Energy
Systems Training in Solar Thermal Codes and (2) initiation of a
Technical Advisory Committee on Solar Thermal Systems. Due date for

OCTOBER 31, NOVEMBER 1, 2, AND 8 & 9: PV (SOLAR ELECTRIC) WORKSHOP
Five-day hands-on Photovoltaic Design and Installation Workshop
sponsored by NMSEA. Topics include photovoltaic components, designing
and sizing a system, siting, and the configuration of stand-alone
(off-grid) and grid-tie (utility-connected) systems, safety and energy
efficiency. Class session will be in Albuquerque, but the installation
will be north of Santa Fe. $450 for members, $500 for non-members.
