Would you like to learn about siting, sizing and designing a PV system?
Topics to be covered include photovoltaic components, designing and sizing a
system, siting, and the configuration of stand-alone (off-grid) and grid-tie
(utility-connected) systems. Safety and energy efficiency will also be covered.
This class is particularly good for certified electricians who are comfortable with the installation skills, homeowners who'd like to talk knowledgably with installers, job seekers who are interested in the industry but won't seek installation positions, and students considering renewable energy careers.
Electricians who complete the class will receive continuing education units through CID.

The PV market is ripe for growth. If you are considering launching a business in solar, do not miss this opportunity to meet and talk to successful solar business leaders in our state. Students will have a chance to learn what works and what doesn't, and will walk away with the tools to start their new business. This workshop has an emphasis on PV installation businesses, but also will look at roles of distributors, solar thermal business, manufacturing, and international opportunities.
